I don't know what I ever did to deserve a friend like Ishi, but I am
thankful for him. I help him out from time to time, but just little things,
and he always repays me tenfold. And that's how beautiful, exotic, awesome
Shayla came to live with me.
When Ishi bred Hisumi Mayu Hyo (daughter of Cheetahsden's Snow Princess) to Mario's gorgeous leopard cat, Zarboo, he was blessed with a litter of 3 - and offered me the pick of the girls! Heads are my thing lately, and when I saw Shayla's, I knew I had found the perfect one!. Shayla is the living image of the wild head and body type I someday want in my SBT bengals. Add to that a silky pelt, exceptional contrast, flowing horizontal pattern, fat leopard tail and black rosetted spots. And that's not the best part!! Now, all of my f1's have been friendly and affectionate to me, but Shayla's acceptance of humans outdoes them all. She has run of the house and, at almost a year old, has us all wrapped around her paw. I love to pick her up and give her kisses (which she tolerates with a pained expression) or turn her upside down in my arms. She puts up with all of it and, when released immediately winds herself around my ankles. Oh dear, just another of those "forever cats!"
