Champion Becker - an "a peeling" sort of boy!
Champion Becker, out of Garth of Starbengal and Starbengal Matilda and full brother to DiCaprio of Starbengal, is one of our new boys. Sometimes I think I need to quit going down to visit Earl Shropshire - I just keep coming back with one of his cats! When I saw his two young boys in early December, I immediately started to beg. When I could see Earl wouldn't release DiCaprio, I easily switched to Becker - I mean what's not to like! BLACK rosettes, extreme contrast, looooooong body and he's even glittered! Robin was visiting Earl at the same time as well and, well, she liked Becker too.
Easy enuf - we both took him! So Becker splits his year between Ohio
and Montana keeping busy with the girls. And what, you ask, is his personality
like......obnoxious! When I walk into his pen to feed him breakfast, I
have to be ready for a 15 lb necklace. He immediately launches himself
to my chest (doesn't ever use his claws, bless him, so I have to be ready
to catch him), puts his arms around my neck in a bear hug, places his cheek
against mine, and PURRS (drools too, but what can I say). Peeling him off
is a real chore. But one thing I can say about black rosettes and "a
peeling" personality - it's obviously genetic 'cause his kittens have
it too!
